First Pikachu - Lure him to the surfboard with apples for more points Snorlax - Just play the pokeflute to make him dance to get a good pic. Pester balls will also work, but you won't get a very good score. Scyther - This one took me a while. See the high grass that keeps having more grass fly up? Just toss Pester Balls in there. Over and over again. It usually takes me 5 or 6 throws. But then, Scyther will pop up, and you'll have ample oppurtunity to get a picture or nine. More Pikachu's - When you chase out the Scyther, two Pikachu's will run out and stand on the logs. Take a picture of one of them up close. The "Pikachu on a Log" bonus is the highest Pikachu bonus I've gotten. Ballooning Pikachu might be higher, but I didn't submit that one to Professor Oak, so I dunno. Lapras - Just keep watching the water every so often Chansey - Hit the ball the Eevee is chasing with a pester ball. Kangaskahn - Throw apples or a pester ball at it to make it turn around. Magikarp - Throw apples into the lake just before the exit gate. 3b. Tunnel Pikachu - Take pictures of him. Eventually he'll jump on top of an electrode. Get a pic for a "Pikachu on a Ball" bonus. Electrode - Just toss something at them for a good explosion pic. Kakuna - The Pokeflute will make them lower briefly for a chance at a pic. Zubat - Flaps in your face whenever a door opens. Zapdos - Lure the Pikachu near the egg with apples. Then play the Pokeflute. His electricity should start striking the egg. Enough of this and it will hatch out, and Zapdos will appear. This will also start the generator, showing you hints on the screens to the right and lighting up the stages Pokemon Sign. Dugtrio - Repeatedly take pictures of the Pikachu and the Diglett. The Pikachu should run each time. Enough of this and Dugtrios will begin popping up. Magnemite - Throw food. When distracted, you can get a pic. Magneton - Lure the Magnemites together with food. Their magnetizations or whatever will pull them together into a Magneton. 3c. Volcano Note: To open this stage, you must make the last Electrode in the Tunnel explode. This will reveal the pathway to the Volcano. Rapidash - Toss an apple at the first one you see to make it rear up. Take a pic for good points. Charmeleon - When you see your first Magmar and Charmander, toss apples between them. The Magmar should flame the Charmander, and it will fall over, then evolve into Charmeleon. Charmeleon Squad - At the Moltres Egg, DON'T KNOCK IT OVER! You will stop in place on the stone bridge. Turn to the left and toss apples at the two Charmanders. They'll call for their friends, and you can lure them all together to get six Charmander's in one picture. Moltres - NOW knock over the egg with an apple or pester ball. It will hatch into Moltres. Best points come when the Moltres like.. jerks and spreads it's wings in mid-air, shooting a few sparks. Magmar - Throw an apple between the two Magmar's and get a picture of them fighting for good points. Growlithe - Toss a pester ball into one of the three craters near the end of the course on the right side. Arcanine - The same. Charizard - knock the Charmeleon circling the lava pit into said pit with a Pester Ball. Then, hit the Charizard with a Pester Ball. It will spin around, and shoot flames. Get a pic of the flame spitting Charizard for big points. 3d. River Poliwag - Toss Pester Balls at the Poliwags to make them run into the river. You can get a decent pic this way. Bulbasaur - Toss Pester Balls at the Bulbasaurs in the trunks to make them pop out. Throw an apple in front of the hollow log to make another pop out. Slowbro - Toss apples to lure the Slowpoke onto the brown platform near the Shellder sign. It will then evolve. Vileplum - Play the Pokeflute near the smoking pant. Vileplume will pop out and start dancing. Metapod - Throw a Pester Ball at the Metapods to make them lower for a better picture. Psyduck - Smack it with a Pester Ball or apple to make it sink. It will then start jumping out of the water at random. Take a pic for good points. Porygon - See that little wiggly thing in the green wall? Smack it with a Pester Ball to find the Green Porygon. See the wiggly thing in the brown wall? Smack it with a Pester Ball to find the Brown Porygon, and open up the next course. Pikachu - Take a pic of the Pikachu to make it start dashing wildly. Get a pic of the running Pikachu (nigh impossible to center) to get a pic with a "Speed Pikachu" bonus. 3e. Cave Note: You need to find the Brown Porygon in the River to open the Cave. Zubats - Everywhere. Just look around. Grimers - Take pics of the two Grimers to the left in the first chamber to make two more appear in the next. Muk - Throw three pester balls at the Grimers in the second chamber. They will evolve into Muks. Bulbasaurs - Notice how their eyes are odd? Chuck a Pester Ball at them. Ditto - The Bulbasaur will then transform into a Ditto. Koffing - Chasing Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff - Chuck a pester ball and hit the Koffing. The Jigglypuffs you save will show up at the end of the level, singing. Take a pic there for good Jigglypoints. Victreebell - Toss a Pester Ball at the Weepinbell to knock it in the pool. It will emerge a Victreebell. Pikachu - Smack the Zubat holding the Pikachu with a Pester Ball (harder than it sounds) to make it drop the Pikachu. The rat will then balloon down to safty. Get a pic. Jynx - Play the Pokeflute to make it wake up and dance. Get a good pic for high points. Articuno - When the Jynx are dancing, the egg will crack open from their dancing. Get a close up pic of the bird. 3f. Valley Squirtle - Hit the shells in the water right off the bat with pester balls to make a squirtle pop out on land. Get a good pic. Magikarp - This is important. Right off the bat, straight ahead, beneath the Dugtrio Moutain and in front of the Mankey, a Magikarp should be jumping up and down. Constantly chuck Pester Balls at it, until you see it jump onto land. The Mankey will smack the Magikarp into the horizon. Mankey - These are scattered throughout. Get a pic. Geodude - Smack with a Pester Ball for a good pic. Sandshrew - When you smack the Geodude down, a Sandshrew will hop out. Graveler - When you see the two Geodudes, the Graveler, and the Sandslash, chuck a Pester Ball at the two Geodudes. If they both hit in rapid succession, the Graveler will fall down. This will get you good points. Sandslash - When the Graveler falls, the Sandslash will hop out. Get a quick pic. Graveler, the Sequel - Use the Pokeflute on the three Gravelers near the waterfall to make them dance. Gyrados - Remember that Magikarp that got smacked into the horizon? It will now land right near those dancing Gravelers. Hit it with a Pester Ball, and spin to watch the waterfall. It will skip inside and then immediately lunge out, evolved into a Gyrados. Get a pic of it snapping or spitting water for the best points. Staryu - Get a pic of it directly to make it spin around. Do the same with the next two. They will all jump into the whirlpool. Starmie - After the Staryu jump in, they'll emerge as Starmies. Dratini - Chuck a Pester Ball around at random in the water to make a Dratini pop out. Magikarp, the Sequel - The same. Goldeen - The same. Dragonite - Chuck four or five Pester Balls into the whirlpool to make the Dragonite pop out. 3g. Rainbow Cloud Note: To get to Rainbow Cloud, you must hit the switch in the Valley. To do this, hit the lone Squirtle near the end with a pester ball to send it sliding up the hill and in to the Mankey (it will probably take a few tries to hit the Mankey) to send the Pokemon sliding down the hill. Then, smack the Mankey with a Pester Ball to send it flying onto the switch. You must then find the six signs. Find those, and Rainbow Cloud will open. Mew!! - Mew will appear in a green bubble that swings back and forth. Smack it three times with Pester Balls or apples. It will break. He will then dash at you in a yellow bubble. Hit it quickly before it passes you. Do this three times to break that bubble. The bubble will then float past with Mew chasing it. Smack him with an apple to get about 5 seconds for a good picture. He'll disappear. He'll then start chasing the bubble again. Repeat. If he makes it back into the bubble, he'll come at you in it again. Just smack it once again to make him start chasing once more. **4. Pokemon Signs Beach - Kingler Rock - Look to the left near the beginning at the rocks. Turn around and take a picture of the Kingler. This one's easy. Tunnel - Pinsir Shadow - Release the Zapdos to make the Pinsir Shadow appear on a screen just past the Electabuzz and Pikachu. Volcano - Koffing Smoke - This one's easy if you chuck things everywhere like I do. Chuck a pester ball into the first Volcano to your left. The smoke will turn into a Koffing after a moment. Take a picture. River - Cubone Tree - When you reach the Metapods, look up and to the right, where the Vileplume's smoke is. You should see the evil looking rock that doesn't look like a Cubone to me. Take a picture. Cave - Constellation Mewtwo (YES!!! HE'S HERE!) - If you turn around in the Weepinbell/ Koffing-Jigglypuff room, you'll see a bunch of twinking stars. Zoom in your camera. Take about 20 pics of the stars. They should develop into a picture of Mewtwo. Valley - Mt. Dugtrio - *laughs* If you don't see this one, I'm gonna smack you. **5. Conclusion You've caught Mew. YAY! But now what? You'll see the (terrible) ending and get the Point Challenge. Now, attempt to beat 151000 points on the 6 normal courses, and 420000 points on Rainbow Cloud. I'll let you know if anything happens when you beat them all... well.. when I beat them all. Also, don't forget your Pokemon Report! Once you get a picture of all 63 (grumble grumble) Pokemon in the game, you'll get the better (but still terrible) ending. Then, try to improve the score of your report while trying to beat the high scores. **6. Fun Things to Do! (Aka.. how to torture a Pikachu) Toss a Pester Ball at a Squirtle or a Sandshrew. They will fall down and start twitching in pain. *cackles* Meowth, Pikachu, Doduo.. many Pokemon have good reactions to Pester Balls. Also, make Pokemon fight! You can make Magmar toast Charmander or another Magmar, you can make Geodude hit Sandshrew.. experiment. Also try to come up with humorous photos. Nintendo Power ran a picture of Gyrados about to eat Staryu. I know how they got it, but I can't yet duplicate it. Can you? And.. my favorite reaction so far. When Jigglypuff is singing on stage, smack him with a Pester Ball. I laughed out loud when I saw the expression on his face. I made him mad. ^_^ **7. Credits Well, that's all for now. Credits go to.. Me, for writing this! Nintendo, for publishing/making/whatevering this game. Halken, for the same. And whoever's walkthrough that was who told me how to get the one Pokemon I was missing, Muk. Thanks a bunch, man. :) Note that everything in here was taken from my own knowledge and game pak, save for the reference to the Nintendo Power reference and how to get the Muk. That was taken from another walkthrough, but worded differently. Sorry if there are any hard feelings about that, but it must be known how to get Muk.. ^_^; If you distribute this walkthrough, don't change anything in it. That's all I ask. Thanks! ^_^ See you next time I decide to crank out one of these things. Toraeru's Pokemon Gateway http://www.fortunecity.com/rivendell/hobgoblin/518/ http://zap.to/rp
